Terms of Use

1. Scope and operator

These terms apply to the Nattevakt service, website, and product-specific use of the mobile application. Nattevakt is an independent project developed and operated under the Nattevakt brand. Contact: support@nattevakt.app.

For the iOS licensed application, the Apple Standard EULA governs the app license. These Nattevakt terms supplement the service and do not replace the Apple Standard EULA. If there is a conflict concerning the iOS app license, the Apple Standard EULA controls to the extent required. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited.

2. The service

Nattevakt presents incident information, maps, user-selected zones, optional notifications, advertising, and Premium features. No user account is required. Features can differ by platform, permission, country, store status, subscription status, and app version.

Nattevakt is not an emergency service and must not be used as a substitute for emergency numbers, official warnings, or instructions from public authorities.

3. Incident information and maps

Information can come from Politiloggen, Statens vegvesen, OpenStreetMap, and Nattevakt's backend. Data can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, changed, unavailable, or interpreted differently from the original source. You remain responsible for checking official sources and acting with reasonable care.

4. Permitted use

You may use Nattevakt for personal, lawful purposes in accordance with the applicable store terms and app license. You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, automate abusive requests, extract data contrary to source terms, evade subscription or advertising controls, or use Nattevakt to violate another person's rights.

5. Premium, billing, and advertising

Premium purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and confirmed through RevenueCat. Store price, billing period, trial details, renewal terms, and available plans are shown before purchase and are controlled through the relevant store account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See the subscription guide.

The free version may display advertising through Google AdMob. Advertising choices are handled through Google UMP and, on iOS, Apple's ATT permission where applicable.

6. Privacy and third-party services

Nattevakt's handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Supabase, Firebase, OpenStreetMap, and source providers have their own terms and privacy practices. Nattevakt does not control their independent services.

7. Availability, changes, and termination

Nattevakt may maintain, update, change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, source changes, platform requirements, or product operation. We aim to keep the service useful but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Access may be restricted where use is unlawful, abusive, threatens the service, or materially breaches these terms. Store subscriptions remain governed by the applicable store's cancellation and refund process.

8. Responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Nattevakt is provided without a guarantee that every incident will be included, accurate, current, or available. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits statutory rights available to consumers.

9. Governing law, changes, and contact

These supplementary terms are governed by Norwegian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protection available under the law of their country of residence. Disputes should first be raised with Nattevakt so a practical solution can be attempted.

The terms may be updated when the service, stores, providers, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be shown with a new “Last updated” date.
